User Problem

Bolt buyers are looking for products with precise requirements tailored to a specific bridge or building project. It costs time to find the exact combination of bolt torque value, strength and yieldpoint, then contact sellers and finally check with them if they have a bolt with the correct requirements.

Business Problem

Peco douwes, a bolt supplier had the idea to create a basic bolt calculator app to help potential clients. Bolt buyers could download the app and find what size the bolt had to be, based on the bolt diameter needed for the project. While clients valued the bolt calculator, it was time to upgrade it with more complete features.

Solution

According to Peco Douwes sales team, the app would be even more informative if it provided a more complete diagnosis of bolt requirements therefore, a table with torque value, strength and yieldpoint was added in addition to the dimensions of the bolt. The app is in English & Dutch languages since the company garnered clients from all over Europe & more information on Peco Dowes is provided to increase brand awareness. Users can directly call or email the sales team, the app becoming an active marketing/sale touchpoint for Peco Douwes.
